Lakeland Motor Museum, Cumbria

Today we took advice from the forum and visited the Lakeland Motor Museum. There’s a fair mix of cars and motorcycles, old and new, plus some other exhibits from days of yore. Whatever that is.

I’ve got too many pictures to upload them all here so here’s a selection to give an idea of what you’ll find there if you go. Which I recommend you do.

Motorcycles

Cars

Engines and whatnot

There’s a separate building dedicated to the land and water record attempts. It is as impressive as it is tragic.for me it was the size of these machines that impressed. You just don’t get that from tv images.
The K7 is a replica. The reconstruction from the original wreckage is in the Ruskin museum in Coniston.

They certainly packed a lot in! I’ll added it to our ‘Places to Go’ map later.

Just went to add the museum to the map as a great place to go. Turns out @DCS222 beat me to it.
