Mileage in 2024 and plans for 2025

Is there a relegation zone…? If so I will be in it…!
Too many other interests to get a lot of miles in but I enjoy it when I get out there…!

It’s entirely optional so you can avoid any shame.

According to the Honda Roadsync app, I’ve done 7876 miles on the Transalp and probably about 2500 on the Street Triple

Only about 1500 miles done on my BMW 1250RS. I’m not that bothered it’s low milage as I just use it for fun rides out and it’s not my main mode of transport. I also play a lot of golf which takes up more of my time. I get stick off SWMBO (use it or sell it, blah blah blah) but to me the most important thing is to have the bike in the garage and the option to ride it when I feel like it. Whether I actually get out on it or not isn’t that important to me as I know that at my age once I’m without a bike I’ll be unlikely to get another so I’m hanging on for as long as I can

I could have written that post @Littleade …!
Exactly my thoughts.

I’ve changed my riding habits too. On the GS I’d be out for the day, but with that now gone I’m tending to go out more often, but do less miles per ride. Typically I’ll just be out for a couple of hours max and pick late morning, early afternoon or after tea in the summer months when there’s not much traffic about. The GS was more comfortable, the RS is more engaging to ride so maybe that’s a factor too. Plus if I do less miles per ride I can do more rides before OCD kicks in and I have to clean it

Just over 12,000 on two bikes. The Bonneville is uncomfortable over any distance, so that is for quick ride outs and evening fish and chip runs. The 900 Tiger is the one for mileage, Scotland for a fortnight and a 10 day trip around Northern Ireland. This coupled with about 4,500 covering the TOMCC Landmark challenge has now rolled the odometer over 20,000 miles.
This year? An early trip to Spain/Portugal. A trip to SE France to ride some balcony roads and Alpine passes, the 2025 TOMCC Challenge, it was a lot of fun last year and we hope to get all 50 in the bag again!

Bet I haven’t even hit 2000 miles this last 12 months. Spent many weeks in the best weather house bashing as swmbo pressured me to refurb our interior as it’s been years (although didn’t actually need doing!!) and my argument always was to do it off season!!
The spare money I had (£2000) to do my Austrian trip got soaked up in four bloody diesel injectors for my van. Well at least this year I’m free of major problems and ready to go.
I’ve also (and laughing to admit) enjoyed my old cronk of an MZ as it’s as simple as beans on toast with matching emissions!!

We did the same amount of mileage as our average, about 4k on the K16. And only did 2 track days on the Speed Triple. Only did 2 trips, one to Yorkshire and 1 to Scotland for a long weekend. We are debating doing a trip to the States to do Route 66, but that is very much in the balance at the moment. Also, planning on doing an off road track day in Wales and a Jamie Whitham training track day either at Cadwell Park or Anglesey.

A fire of mine is a regular at Jamie’s track days and says Anglesey is great fun. Tempted to go at some point.

I have done Anglesey a couple of times, and have been lucky with the weather. Not sure how long my luck will last, so may do Cadwell instead.
