MotoGP 2027 New Regulations

Here we go again. They’re a few years away but another big shake-up is coming for MotoGP with some sweeping changes to the regulations. The highlights are:

  • Engine size going from the current 1000cc down to 850cc.
  • No more ride height and holeshot devices.
  • Narrower front aero and restrictions on in-season changes.
  • Minimum bike weight will be 153kg, shedding four kilos.
  • One engine less for each rider. Six each instead of seven.
  • Teams must publish GPS data after each session for everyone to see.
  • Fuel will be 100% dinosaur free.
