It’s probably a safe bet that Marquez will get the factory Ducati ride. I was kinda hoping Mir would get the Aprilia gig but there yu go. Can’t see him staying on that dreadful Honda for another year.
I’m in two minds about this one. Having Marquez on a slightly inferior bike has really spiced MotoGP up this year. Marquez on the best bike might make it a bit predictable next year. Bagnaia is probably sweating a bit now!
I wonder whether Martin is going to regret stomping off in a huff to Aprilia, although I can certainly understand why he has. He’d better make sure he clinches the title this year now.
Can’t wait.
The feathers are going to fly in that pit box, no love lost between them two already. Add in the VR46 factor and the Italian Ducatisti are going to be SO confused, do I cheer or boo?
Yes Martin certainly has plenty of extra motivation now (I wonder if there’s a bring the number1 bonus in his contract?)
But he might be getting a “special mapping” from Gigi to make sure he doesn’t.
(Seriously, I do hope our sport is better than that.)
It’s a good silly season!
I reckon Joe Roberts is a safe bet for the Trackhouse team, but then what?
Mir in to the Aprilia factory perhaps? (& Luca Marini already looking for a way out)
After that I haven’t a clue.
Pramac staying with Ducati or enticed by Yamaha?
The next card to fall??
I’m not sure it’ll happen but I originally called Aleix’s seat for Joan Mir at Aprilia. He’s got another shot at it now. That guy really needs a break. He must have to take anti-depressants before every race.
There’s talk about Bezzecchi taking the other Aprilia seat too as for Vinales, he’s pissed because the Martin move wasn’t discussed with him before they signed him
Interesting that Bezz is leaving VR46 for an Aprilia when he turned down a Pramac factory Ducati last year (or was it the one before?) to stay with VR46. Must be money involved.
And now that leaves a spot in VR46 for Morbidelli should he need it (the rumours have already started).
Pramac still possibly going to Yamaha it seems, Morbidelli not keen on returning there.
