My Triumph Connectivity Module - Is it any good?

Today I finally got around the investigating whether the connectivity module was fitted/enabled on my Street Triple 765. It would appear not, as there’s no Bluetooth option in the menu. Perhaps that’s why the previous owner fitted a Quad Lock.

The question is whether the My Triumph Connectivity Module it’s worth having.

The Triumph app gets poor reviews on the app stores. Nothing new there, most vehicle apps do. The MV app is complete rubbish and the satnav so unreliable that I stopped using it.

Given that experience, I’m not mad keen on rushing to my nearest Triumph dealer waving my bank card to have the module fitted.

Does anyone else use the My Triumph Connectivity features? What do you think of it? Is is worth having over a phone/satnat stuck to the handlebars?

I don’t think it’s worth having. It was fitted on mine as standard. Triumph boast GoPro connectivity, but omit to tell you that is only true for a GoPro 7, and updates are not planned, Navigation is also useless. And half of the time it doesn’t connect at all… Keep your bank card pocketed, I’d say.

I wouldn’t bother - save your money. It was standard on my 900 GT Pro, which was a 2020 model, so things might have improved, but I doubt it.

It never connected to my phone without a fight, if at all, and would happily disconnect when it felt like it. When it worked, the navigation directions suffered from a terrible lag. I had to use my previous galaxy phone as Triumph had worked out the connectivity for 2017 models only - newer phones simply wouldn’t connect.
