Nice bike Joe, the 400 is very popular at the moment so if you do fancy a change the residuals on it should be very good (There’s your next excuse for Tracey )
The big bike, small bike conundrum is all about what suits you. One thing to be mindful of is if you ride with mates that they don’t have much bigger bikes than you do as that can then be tiring on both you and the bike to keep up with the group, unless they’re patent and always let you take the lead.
The good thing about smaller bikes is they’re cheaper to buy and usually the lower running costs are less too. But the most important thing is to enjoy the ride

@Littleade don’t put things in my mind mate. No i do like the 400’s. I don’t really worry about others and what they do. I can always meet them there or whatever. But really these days i ride solo anyway. Some times i accompany a friend on his MZ300 and another on his Harley 1200 sportster. No i am happy at present. I may sell the Street Scrambler but not decided yet. Then i would get a classic to play with. But that is just another plan.
Well peeps i finally got my speed 400 out today and quite impressed. Did about eighty miles and the bike felt like it really wanted to play despite being in run in mode still. It felt well planted and handled so nicely. Think i am going to like this bike. I may even part with the 400x and just keep this one.
