New bike I could not resist this one told the other last bike like all the others

Peeps today i visited Bulldog Triumph. And could not resist a new bike. Saw a Blue 400 there and yes i bought it. Also while on here a want to say a big big thankyou to all the staff at bulldog. They even before i started talking about a new bike made me so welcome. I was actually looking at a 955i Daytona and a tiger800 they were selling at trade prices while waiting for some accessories to be fitted to my 400x most of which was fitted as trade and a couple of bits thrown. Then i started on about the 400 street and got some more bits thrown in and some discount which is why i will get the bike delivered in two weeks I told my Tracy this is the last bike then asked if she would help me fund it. Of course she said yes

She said this has to be the last bike. But she said that for the last one and the one before that. But Tracy is indeed the love of my life.

@Wessa yes of course but it will be two weeks when the accessories are fitted. Over the next few days will take some pics of the 400 scrambler wit the accessories on.

Joe……
Since we’ve come across you on the Triumph forums a bit back now, how many bikes have you bought and discarded? Must be loads?

Met a guy on the F800 forum who I got pally with over the last few years. He had an accident and got plenty of compensation for his leg. He always finds his bikes uncomfortable and therefore swaps them at a rate of less than a year. I’ve counted around 8 that i know of since I’ve known him over a four year period and most bikes are either new or nearly new. I think part of the fun and excitement is more the challenge to try yet another bike as well as riding although he does probably 10,000 miles a year too.

@Tigcraft Yes but i think i would rather have the use of my legs. I know you are on about changing bikes. This will be my last i promised Tracy. Well unless i get my beedi’s on something new. No i am now settled and just want the slower sedate side of biking. Maybe a classic will pop up at the right price just to tinker with. But even that these days does not inspire me. Just rather go for a spin on something that will hopefully get me there and back. If not then it gets picked up and taken back to the dealer. Yes over the years i have had a lot of bikes. The one i still miss is the 650 firebird scrambler i had a 1971 BSA. I totally rebuilt that but at the time i had to raise money to change my windows as my eldest boy had Cystic Fibroses and the window made him cold. Lost his battle for life a few years back. But that’s my life. Promise to be good from now on.
