A miserable morning, weather wise, but a phone call from Sutton Motorcycles to say the 1200 is ready for collection has added a glimmer of sunshine!
We are away from home for a few days, childminding 3 grandchildren and their dog. Mum and Dad have grabbed 4 days in Egypt and we have moved into their house to simplify travel to and from school.
The dealer is closed on Monday so I have provisionally picked Tuesday to collect. We will walk to a local bus stop, bus into Kidderminster, change for Bromsgrove centre and then change again for Birmingham. It’s a bit more complicated when there is no part ex, but so pleased to be keeping the 900, it’s a great bike. So now we have “Bluey” and “Big Red”.
I’m assuming you’ve got a bus pass don’t go meeting any other nutters on the bus!
Would they not deliver it for you? I’ve changed all my bikes in the winter and every time had my new bike delivered in the back of their van and done the remaining paperwork and handover at home, saved getting it all sh1tty on it’s 1st ride and the sales bods always like getting out of the dealership for a couple of hours.
Collection is part of the new bike experience for me. I had my first 900 delivered and it felt a bit of a non event. Riding home makrs it a bit special. Of course they would deliver.if requested. Tuesday should be dry and if it isnt, its got to get grubby sooner or later! Pictures to follow next week.
