New rider mirror issue

So I am a brand new rider on a new 2024 Speed Twin 900. Today on a ride the mirror arm moved significantly. I pulled over and it was so loose I could move the arm 360 degrees. I got it close and returned home. Upon inspection I see that it locks down with two nuts. The top one was very loose. I got it back in position and tightened it so it seems like problem solved but is that normal? WIll it happen often? Is it possible it was just never tightened down well and after sitting on a showroom for 18 months then bike vibrations caused it to loosen up?

PS. I am not sure I posted this in the right place. If it needs moved please do so.

Same thing happened to me on my brand new Tiger. Just sloppy work at the dealer’s, not tightening things up properly.

Definitely not a normal fault with the model: the mirrors on my Street Twin have never come loose. As @Vulpes says, probably a dealer fault.

If you are worried about it coming loose again, I would undo it drop a little lock tight in and reset it. Problem solved.
