Only just seen this. Not sure about the toothpaste tank design but overall it looks like a jolly nice motorcycle. More my thing that the Bonneville.
I agree about the toothpaste tank colour - the black one looks nicer - and I don’t like the black silencers as much as the current all-stainless ones. I can’t comment on the ‘new instruments’, not having seen a picture of them. Otherwise it looks a very nice bike.
Looks alright… I presume the £10,000 is near the money? But I’d be waiting till they’re 2nd hand and show their issues.
I’m guessing the new instruments will be the same as the new 1200.
Bike looks good, but until triumph fit a six speed gear box I wouldn’t have one.
If a bike has plenty of torque (as the Speed Twin does), why would six gears be needed?
I owned the street twin 900 and found that I was constantly looking for a sixth gear. I only kept the bike for a short time as it drove me nuts. I owned a Kawasaki w800 in the past which only had five gears and I also let that go for the same reason.
As they say just my view, others may have a different one and that’s just fine.
Perhaps you found top gear not quite high enough? I’m quite happy with it myself.
That is the most important thing then @Dave49 . You are correct I just didn’t find the gearing right for me.
Smaller rear cog?
