Old tat or some value…?

A good friend of mine does some ( legal…!) house clearing and he recently cleared out a house full of motorcycle memorabilia.

There are 30 + prints by Roy Barrett and loads of Vincent books and bits and bobs.
The big question is are they worth anything…?
And if so, where is the best place to sell them on.

Very cool pictures! I’m sure someone would pay good money for all those things :slightly_smiling_face:

I did like the Grandpas secret print.
He’s got some nice ones but like all things , it’s getting them to the right market . Some of them are the original prints, ie 0/ 200.

The house is 150 yards away from us but I never knew the guy.

You know what they say about the warm hospitable, chatty southerners….

Yeah Mrs D’s sister lives at South Heath. I remember one morning when we were there we walked to see if the newsagents had an MCN, I spoke to a guy coming the other way and he looked as if we had appeared from nowhere!

Is that South Heath near to Great Missenden, Bucks…?

Well feck me, that’s not far away.
I used to work at The Gate in Swan Bottom.
Spent a lot of my youth around those areas and pubs etc. Small world.

Miserable people… :joy:

I would say if they are limited edition prints then they will have far more value, especially if as you say it’s the original print, and more so if they are signed. I would look to get them appraised at an art dealer or local auction house and then go from there.

Auction, E-Bay or Gumtree in order of value, or maybe contact or advertise on the owners club?

I suppose another option would be the free ads in the motorcycle magazines - in this case Classic Bike Guide or similar classic bike publication.
