Postcard Cafe

I had a solo ride on the Striple today, 78 miles in total, going to the Postcard Cafe for the first time as I had been told that it is good. I can confirm that it is. I had intended to just have coffee (which was superb), but the owner gave me a sample of her Lebanese ginger and turmeric cake and it was so delicious that I bought another cafetière of coffee and a slice of the ginger cake for my lunch. The cafe itself is pretty small inside, but is in a lovely location and has seating outside the cafe itself and by the river which would be lovely on a warm summer’s day.

There were three other bikers there and we had a quick chat - one was on a black Street Triple R Low, one a Thruxton R and one a BMW GS.

The ride itself was lovely, great scenery and beautiful sunshine. I am obviously still very much getting used to riding a big bike but it felt comfortable and relaxed and I just work on improving each time I get out.
