It was quite a few years ago when I still had a triumph and met a guy in Castleton Derbyshire who had a highly polished and gleaming vintage British old klonka. He had polished brass and copper components gleaming like a show bike. We spoke about keeping bikes clean and all he did was the initial ’polish to death’ then just wash with hot water and dishwasher rinse aid. I’ve never tried it but has any experimented?
