Something different

My Vincent HRD after I completed its last restoration 10 years ago. ( Luckily I’ve owned it since the early 70s, before they got too expensive.) It’s been buried at the back of the workshop for the last couple of years, behind a pile of SWMBO’s stuff, but seeing this photo has made me resolve to give it a good clean and an oil change and get it back out again next spring. They are rather nice to ride, and don’t hang about.

PS I was excited to discover, during the restoration, that its first owner was Norman Brewster, the Service Foreman at the Vincent factory in Stevenage.

Outstanding machine but I admit I’d have to build Armageddon if I owned that. Sacrilege I know but I’d only borrow the engine - it could always go back.

I think it would indeed be sacrilege to do that to an intact original bike, since Vincents are about so much more than their big engines. However, Norvins aren’t that rare, so I’m sure you could get one of them and re-fashion it into something worthy of Ogri…
