Sprint GT wheel turning in neutral

When my Sprint is on the centre stand in neutral with the engine running, the rear wheel rotates slowly. The clutch seems to be lightly engaged. Does something need adjusting or is this normal?

My Speedy does that when on the paddock stand. Can stop it by hand so never thought about it being an issue.

Not a problem, clutches will always drag a bit and turn the wheel on the main stand. If you feel it dragging when you’ve got the clutch pulled in at the lights - ie it’s pulling you forward, then some adjustment is needed.

I can stop the wheel easily by putting my hand on it. I thought it was probably ok but thought I would ask the hive mind, just in case. :slightly_smiling_face:

Happens to me too but it soon stops when engine warms up and presumably the oil is thinner and providing less drag.

As already said, it’s normal. However I found different manufacturers oils create more or less drag. I stopped using shell advance 4T synthetic because it would create so much drag when cold on my trophy that it could cause the engine to stall when stopping the wheel rotating. As also mentioned that went away once warmed up.

As said, what you’re seeing is fairly normal and nothing to worry about.
But the 1050 engine is known to be prone to sticky clutch problems (not relevant in your case when in neutral) the earlier years more likely so. Triumph made subtle changes to clutch plates and the actuation pin over the years so that later years are trouble free, earlier years can be updated if needed. Lots of info on the other forum if you search for it. :slightly_smiling_face:
General concensus is that semi-synth gives better clutch operation than full-synth, although I’ve used both without issue.
