I try to keep it off the forum but my friends will tell you of my immense distrust and dislike of the amoral (and sometime immoral) way that companies present smiling faces through their marketing channels while happily fleecing us (sorry, ‘maximising their profits) at the same time using methods a lot of us would find unacceptable. We know they’re unacceptable because the EU created GDPR to protect us shoppers.

Here’s a blog I read today from a reliable source, written by someone with proper credentials. Everyone should be aware of the minefield we now have to navigate online - it never used to be this way. If you don’t want to read it, take one thing away at least - use browsers to shop online, not apps.

Extremely interesting article. It highlights just how much sharing of your personal data is being done.
I definitely use a vpn on both my mobile and pc and clear down cookies etc whenever I exit my browser.
