Suspension and exhaust upgrade/change

Morning all,

I would like to up grade the front and rear suspension on the T120, so I am looking for information on what you guys have done to help with the up and down motions…

Are there rear shock absorbers available that are not out of my price range? IE : not as expensive as Fox etc.. Does having a fox set up make £750 worth of difference to the bikes overall suspension.. Has any one got any other recommendations that have been tried and tested on a Triumph..

I am also thinking of changing the front fork springs to a TC progressive spring.. Again has anyone done this ? and does it (a) work and (b) make that much difference?

Please do not think that I am being tight, I’m just thinking that I could spend a bit less on the suspension which will allow me to buy a king and queen comfort seat as well..

I am also thinking of changing the exhaust system by getting a pair of Norman Hyde pea shooters.. I am hoping to be able to set them up so that all of the foot pegs, pipes etc do not have to be removed to get the rear wheel out in the case of any maintenance or punctures etc..

Again any help with these topics would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks Guys.. Chris

If you want something with indisputable quality and second to none customer service, I can recommend Shock Factory. Mike Cappon is an englishman that created EMC brand, and set up his own workshop “Shock Factory”. As the workshop is in France I ordered a made to mesure shock for my ST and as I collect it had the chance to talk with Mike, and visit the workshop :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks will have a look..

I can also recommend shock factory put one on my 2010 speed triple last year quality bit of kit
