The TDM of cleaning

All the previous chat in other threads about cleaning bikes… and an opportune hour or so… has allowed me to finally get December and most of January washed off my bike! 🫨
Ok, calm down… it’s not that big of a shock! !! It had to happen at some point, and I didn’t rub it down with a clay brick, spray it with graphite wonder-spunk, or even sous vide it in a placcy bag… but I did degrease the chain and treat it to some fresh gear oil.
I hope y’all happy now, with your micro-aggression peer pressure… and your good behaviour, bike wishy-washy shiny polish habits …

I’ve always liked the look of the TDM. Nice and “different”.

I had one for several years, and it was a great bike to ride: fast, smooth, reliable, good on fuel and handled well. Only sold it because it was getting a bit heavy for me to wheel around. I have to say that I never liked its looks much, though - too much plastic for my traditionalist tastes.

Shit name though… “Tedium”

A bit like the Toyota MR2! Its name stands for “mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive two-seater”, but the French pronunciation “M-R-deux” sounds very similar to the French word “merde” (@Hubaxe for confirmation please)

Looks in great order for a useable classic. Nice.

There is a better example with the Audi E-tron. In french etron means “turd”.
