Things that yank your chain

Drives me mad. On my way home from work on probably my second ride on my 'blade I was doing about 10 mph in a 30 stuck in heavy traffic and a vicar at the side of the road frowned and shook his head really disapprovingly at me. I initially thought it must be someone to my right so looked across. There was no one there that seemed to be annoying him so I looked back over at him and got a second scowl and head shake. Odd :rage:.

You obviously don’t fit with his delusional fairy tale lifestyle! His problem!

10! Mph! You hooligan you! :joy:

Shame you didn’t have an anti-tank gun to blast the ^&%* to heaven. :grinning:

I know. I am wild.

I’ve decided to carry a couple of live chickens in my pockets when out for a ride, at the sign of any agro I’ll pull them out and bite their heads off. I feel I’m failing to meet the expectations of their prejudice.

Loud exhaust? Otherwise I’m stumped.

So was I really; it is an aftermarket exhaust but does have the baffle in and at low speed is pretty quiet I would say. The only other thing is the car in front of me stopped suddenly in the middle of the junction (right turn) to allow a suicidal pedestrian to cross, so by the time I completed the turn the lights were amber, about to change red but I certainly hadn’t jumped a red light. Bothered me for a bit but I would say I am a polite and courteous rider.

You should have gave him a big friendy wave and smile… that catches them off guard

Or given him a blessing with your middle finger.

 Some priests would be well into that!

Perhaps he prefers your Triumph…?

Trouble with priests/vicars etc is they stand at the front of the church on Sunday and have a captive audience to which they preach. They think the people listen to them and they get used to that. They are deluded. People generally take no notice, they just pretend to listen. So in life, they think they can judge others. Again, deluded.

No one is safe. Anywhere
Ok, if yer not speeding, yer safe but who doesn’t from time to time?

Like you say, sometimes the stars align with empty dry roads and you speed up to 62 mph harming absolutely nobody :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

There was a guy in the paper the other week who was doing 72 in a 70 and got fined 400 in court. Nightmare

I wonder why he didn’t just take the points or do the awareness course? Trying to argue in court that 72 isn’t really speeding seems a bit high risk! His Speedo would have reading 75+ so he knew.

I think that if you already have points on your license then you cannot get the option of the course?
Of course, i could be wrong!

I think you only can’t do the course if you have already done one in the past three years, but then you would just get the points and a standard fine. You can of course reject both and request your day in court which he probably did, but if you lose you’ll still get the points and a bigger fine!

I don’t think having existing points matters unless the new points take you over twelve in which case it’s an automatic ban, so you may want to plead your case in court in that instance. Sounds like he was just being rather silly.

It does seem very harsh 72 in a 70 zone. I think I would be well pissed off if had been me. :upside_down_face:
