It’s not all of them. We have cyclists on this forum.
I agree. I stopped in a shady spot by a hill burn last weekend and a hot and weary middle aged cyclist stopped to cool off. We had a fairly long chat, and found we had a similar passion for the Galloway countryside and some of the same favourite roads - just a different choice of two wheeled transport.
I get the impression that it’s the urban variety that include most of the wrong’uns.
Agreed; I have spent many hours in my finest safety Lycra training and racing on the roads. The forum will be relieved to hear that I no longer trouble anyone’s eyes with that sort of sight any more .
I enjoy cycling, but much less so on the road… you wouldn’t believe how many ignorant, self-important Dickheads are on our roads now! You think it’s getting bad on the motorbikes… cycling has become the big thing to hit out at, at the moment (some of those cyclists are the self-important dicks and have caused the resentment) but a lot of us are just normal, legal, road users. I’m increasingly irritated by close passes, vehicles coming at me in the middle of the road, impatient revved engines…
There’s too much aggression carried into increasingly less road space.
That’s god telling you to ride motorcycles exclusively, baby jesus told me.
You’re thinking of Moses and his Triumph!
I was actually thinking of St Jude on his francis barnet plover
Why? Were Fanny Bs considered to be a lost cause?
Can confirm, i learned to ride on one and a james captain
Did St.Jude learn on one as well? (I learned on an Ariel Arrow.)
No, but it was definitely a lost cause
I is one but that stuff really bugs me🤬I get riding on the pavement with a young kid but grown adults is just wrong
Tractor contractors driving too fast for the given road situation… just because their big lump of metal and attached trailer can reach 35mph, doesn’t mean it’s safe to max it through town, villages or back country roads. Had one today, bearing down on me too quickly… bouncing on the big tyres as he was trying to haul it up to a speed he could control it… Busy street between a Co-op and a chippy… absolute reckless knobhead!
Don’t know what its like over there, but over here its usually youngsters driving them. I don’t trust they comprehend the tool of death they are in control of.
Well done arseholes.
The thieves btw.
Another black mark to Liverpool although early June is a dodgy time for bike thefts as there are so many on way to the IOM TT.
Mrs W suggests I take the Mazda bongo camper to work today “as it needs a run” just pulled onto the turn for work and the and the auto transmission judders, pull to the side of the road and transmission fluid is pooling under the off-side…hoping it’s just a cooling pipe
Fingers crossed for a simple fix
There is a fairly common problem with these that the steel pipes running from the transmission oil cooler back to the transmission rust through so I’m hoping its that, ours has side spoilers on so it’s hard to see exactly but it seems the right area, praying it’s not the bell housing seal, thats gearbox out…
