Or was it? Seems to me these guy don’t make decisions, they are advised. Good way to let the other lot take the blame for a few years.

I started work in Glasgow in 1970 and got 3/-, then a year later when we went decimal, 15p luncheon vouchers - in a nearby self-service restaurant I could get pie, beans and chips and a drink for my 15p voucher. Healthy lunch, eh?!

1998 I could go to Littlewoods in town, buy and 8 piece breakfast, pot of tea and toast. For £1.99.
Sit there and enjoy it, then have a fag with my 2nd cup of tea. Watch the world go by.
