This made me laugh

reCAPTCHA gathers data to calculate the probability that you’re a real person.

  • User behavior: reCAPTCHA tracks how a user interacts with a website, such as how quickly they move their mouse, how they scroll, and how they click on buttons.
  • IP address: reCAPTCHA logs the IP address of the user’s device, which helps to identify the user’s location and potential threats.
  • Browser and device information: reCAPTCHA also collects data on the user’s browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and other device-related information.
  • Cookies: reCAPTCHA uses cookies to track user sessions and to identify returning users.

Because the main CAPTCH used (there are differnt versions) is owned by Google, they’ll also note whether you’re logged in to your Google account, which will boost the probability that you’re not a bot.

One simple improvement you can make to protect your provacy, which Google doesn’t like, is to use a VPN and stay logged out of social media accounts unless absolutely necessary.
