Taking the mrs. to the shop to get a mesh jacket and new lid. Lid’s a Skorpion, jacket Difi. A nice sale was on, so we got away lightly…
Things feel even better bought in the sale!!
A white jacket on a motorcycle. Brave.
I don’t do the washing mate…
Swearing at whichever animal knocked my MacBook on the floor and broke the screen.
Ouch, that sounds expensive. Is the culprit known?
No, we were out. Got an appointment at the Apple store on Tuesday to assess the damage (to my wallet).
Accidental damage might be part of your household insurance …?
On holiday cottage cleaning duties today. However, there was a lovely sunset over the river:
Drove home slowly afterwards, as it was dark and there might be animals about. Sure enough, we saw both a fox and a weasel crossing the road in the course of our journey.
…going to the Genius Bar, which was a table, wth other people sitting around fidgeting uncomfortably at the school vibe, where I met an Apple Genius who geniously confirmed the display on my laptop is broken and then continued to explain in a genius way that it would be sent off to have a new display fitted because the old one is broken, you see, Then he scanned the entire laptop for damage with his GeniusVision before taking a picture of one of the rubber feet. Then I had to check two boxes on his iPad, which does not take a genius. Finally he confirmed my laptop would be back in about 10 days. Genius. I don’t know how he does it.
But can he tie his own shoe laces?
I wouldn’t claim to be an Apple Genius, but I have enjoyed the occasional Pink Lady.
Is that a euphemism?
If I remember rightly, it was Kenneth Williams who said that he disliked double-entendres so much that, if he saw one in a script, he would whip it out immediately.
Made him so angry he killed his dad.
My Apple genius sold me a new iPad 9 . He also sold me a cover for an iPad 10….guess what …it did not fit the iPad 9 When I go back will he try to sell me a new iPad 10 to fit the cover he sold in error…?
Awaiting spares so spent the last few days doing this…
…it’s about a foot square. Made from rough pallet wood cut down to make the frame. I’ve made up a half dozen or so for when the garage gets a bit too chilly. But I’ve found myself at a bit of a loose end…not for the lack of bike projects to be getting on with. I just would rather get one done before moving onto the next - parts just seem to take weeks longer to get here and are getting more difficult to find. Ordering supposedly quality UK made parts from the US and Italy these days, good grief
I like it with only one exception - that’s not my wall.
I’ve been watching a youtuber with a bonnie (around 2006 I think), that has been waiting all summer for a head gasket for it. Triumph even got involved, but still no success. It seems to be a problem for the newer triumphs but until now I thought the classics were well catered for.
I wonder how you got an old pallet to shine like chrome
All joking aside though that is superb. Absolutely fantastic work
