Glad everything is ok. There’s a tree close to my garage which if it falls will go right through it. Part of it fell down November 2023, fortunately the other way, so I am always on pins when it’s windy but so far so good
Yeah, it was wild here too - bins blew over so brought them into the garage, but no obvious damage to house or garden. The last storm damaged some fencing, so that is new and looks OK this time. I’ll be having a look around soon.
My daughter lives nearby in a 100 year+ old house surrounded by equally old trees, but fortunately her only problem was an imploding greenhouse.
Edit - just had a good look around, everything is fine except a couple of sections of lead flashing at the garage have blown up, easy to dress back down… and the squirrels have been chewing on the plastic collar around the gas flue again!!
Quite a few houses missing ridge tiles around us here in North Yorkshire. Two of the bins went over but fortunately only the recycling one spilled it’s guts. Fence intact after my effective repair from last time
Finished this one off. 1973 Shovelhead from Austria. Die Hommage.
Quite difficult to paint ‘out of focus’ elements in acrylic. I thought about using the airbrush on the headlight sparkle but too lazy to get it all out so did it with a brush.
Not today but yesterday, taking loads of stuff from my parents house to the tip after their admission into a care home. I picked up these so they didn’t get lost or damaged.
My Grandad, William Henry McCoy
And a bit of history about the town of my youth
What lovely things to have.
Can empathise, was doing much the same this time last year when MIL passed (just short of 92).
Trying to raise the spirits with these (not really working).
Yet more rain today, local news/weather man saying some places had 4x average so far this year.

How are they getting on @dawsy ….
Had the same thing to do to my parents a few years ago and now my aunts house had to be cleared a few weeks ago .
Alas, no hidden treasures there .
Staff say they are fine. Mam smiling all the time, think she enjoys having someone to talk to
Dad must be ok as they say he’s really witty, but was moaning to me about food, everyone is barking and he was better off at home When I tried to tell him about the state they were in, he just shut me up!
Cheers for asking
Good job someone in the family has a sense of humour ……
A sense of what?
Feckin off and leaving this Cold for a bit …!
Enjoy warmer climes !!!
It’s raining …!
Is your middle name Lucky?
Today the weather has changed.
Now it’s windy AND raining …
Hope it fairs up for you soon dude
I’m going cross-country/nordic skiing a slightly longer run with a friend (according to the map, 29 km). Something to take with you in a thermos bottle, a little something to eat. We fry sausages and make coffee with campfires along the way. Let’s see how the muscle condition lasts :).
Weather is ‘‘ok’’ … cloudy but no snowing, not windy, -5C.
