As most of you know I was going to do this last year, but a white van man threw a spanner in the works.
The Tiger is all prepared and loaded up, and this afternoon I will travel to the ferry, which will take me to Hull.
From there I will make my way to the Cairnryan-Larne ferry, which will get me to the Emerald Isle.

Day two
Got off the ferry, and Steve was waiting just outside. We set off towards Yorkshire, battling heavy traffic. It was still pretty nippy too, at this stage.
The further West we got the weather improved, and around 11.30 we arrived at our rendez vous cafe where @Dawsy joined us
The route was continued through The Lakes, with Kirkstone pass being the highlight.
The route then continued to Gretna Green, where we arrived at 16.00 and were greeted by Dilli.

Looks like a great start to your holiday and you haven’t even reached Ireland yet.

It was great to meet @Vulpes @Wessa and Dilli.
I didn’t realise so much JD could be poured down one neck

Did Dilli start saying he loved you? If not there was still room for more JD

day 3
Having had my breakfast I set off early to make sure I’d catch my ferry. Got on the A75 towards Stranraer, horribly busy and slow. @Dave49 recommended an alternative, so after 30 odd miles I got off the A75, and onto the A712. Lovely.
After some 40 miles I had to get back onto the A75 again, but now it wasn’t bad at all - little traffic and nice roads and views. Got to the ferry in time, and was first on, first off.
In Larne I was met by Dougie. Having caught up we set off towards (eventually) Letterkenny.
A stop at The Dark Hedges (I’m a GOT fan), and on we went.
The only boring bit was getting past Londonderry really. Other than that a great ride.
Bikes parked up, time for a beer and some grub…

day 4
Left Letterkenny, both got fuel and on the road again, heading for Sligo. Not a bad start:
Onwards and upwards…
Bit of lunch…
And more of beautiful bits of Ireland…
Then for some sustenance…
A good day again!
PS: note the ambient temperature on my dash…
