Today we had booked a test ride on a trident 660 for mrs. V. We rode the Street- and Speed Triples to the dealer, and there it was, ready for her to take off. Parked next to it was a 900 Speed Twin, so I asked if I could take that out for a laugh. No problem at all, here’s the key. So off we went.
We had a nice little ride, and the mrs. loved the bike. She is still a bit taken aback by the scootiness of her striple, but felt right at home on the trident.
Back at the dealer’s we sat down to have a chat about a 2023 Trident they had for sale. 3.800 kms on the clock. I pointed out I had bought 2 brand new Tigers off them in a years’ time, could they maybe put a nice deal together? They then offered to sell us the demo bike she’d ridden (2024, 280 kms), €500 worth of accessories thrown in, and two years full warranty. And also gave a really good price for her 2008 striple. So this means we’ll have a double new bike day come Saturday.
Scootiness should definitely be a word . It’s great that Mrs V has found a bike that she gels with in the Trident and even better that you got such a good deal . I suppose the question is, where on earth is there to go after double new bike day?? Two new bikes each?? Quadruple?? .
