The DVLA spokesman said this had been a unique case. He is a lying bastard. This has happened before. Typical government department lies.

Golden rule, make copies
Yes i had a mate who fought them and won. Took him over a year a an eye test to prove he was fit to drive. Poor chap died a couple of weeks after he got his licence back.
