Just bought a 2025 tiger sport 660, when it’s out of warranty I’m considering an aftermarket road legal exhaust, not too noisy but a bit fruity, then a dyno tune. I had my 650 bandit done and really loved the difference. Can anyone recommend a good pipe please?
Congrats on the new bike ![]()
The exact rules around modding bikes during the warranty period seem unclear to me and might depend on the manufacturer. I have always made modifications likes exhaust systems or end cans without worrying about warranties BUT I haven’t seen the need to remap and this might affect the warranty I suppose.
Choice wise, I am a big fan of Akrapovic systems and have been happy so far with the sound, look and quality. Other quality products I have experienced with my various bikes have been GRMoto, TEC and Leo Vince.
I like Scorpion exhausts, nice sound change with the baffle in, but my Street Triple sounds obnoxious with it out! I haven’t had a remap though.
I’ve had a Beowolf and Delkevic on my Bandit, both were not too loud and stamped as road legal. I can’t understand people who put race pipes and illegally small number plates on bikes then complain when the Rozzers pull them up. As far as Dyno tuning goes bikes from the factory are set up to pass emission tests and aren’t really working as good as they can, my Bandit was running so lean it was miles away from the optimum mixture, I always liked my Bandit but after tuning I fell in love with it, even my wife noticed the difference which is very unusual. I’ve kept the Bandit as I can’t bear to part with it. I’m not keen on the header pipes on the Tiger, they don’t look like they will stay looking nice for long, time will tell.
I am assuming your Tiger Sport will adapt itself to the new exhaust though with a 12 minute tune like the other modern Triumphs? Not as good as paying for a dyno tune I am sure, but mine does run nicely without having had it done.
