Warning - iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 Bug Impacting Replies

If you’re using an iPhone or an iPad to access the forum you should know there is a bug in Apple’s Webkit that messes up the positioning of the elements of the reply window when the keyboard is opened.

Apple are working on a fix. We’re hopng it’ll be released in a week or two. I’ll let people here know as things progress.

In the meantime, if you haven’t upgraded your Apple device to iOS 26 or iPadOS 26, you may want to hold off for now.

That explains it, thanks :+1:

The funny thing is that I have been using iPadOS Beta 26 for months without any issues, until the public release that is

I believe the bug was introduced with the beta 7 release. Not sure when that became available. I usually try the betas but not in this case as I didn’t realise I needed to select iOS 26 specifically. I assumed if you’re in the programme, you’re in the programme.

I installed the latest iOS beta on my phone today and it appears the bug hasn’t been completely fixed yet.

I have delayed moving to ios26 for a little while now.
I will look again in a while.

I installed the iOS v26.1 Release Candidate today. The problem is still there.

I don’t know what it is, but in the last month or so my ayephone has morphed into a slug… I had to grit me teeth using it, and it ain’t over filled or had too many apps on background refresh… I just think that Apple need to shift a few units and have uploaded iOS Sloth25

If it’s an old phone it could be the battery. The OS may be throttling performance to increase battery life between charges.

I think this may be fixed in the iOS 26.2 update. If anyone still sees a problem drop a reply here and I’ll keep tracking it.
