What You Been Doing With Your Triumph Today

Rose and I met a biking chum at Shobdon aerodrome for breakfast. Lovely quiet roads, but oh dear, the state of Herefordshire roads, pot holes, mud, large puddles due to blocked gullies. Must try harder!

As at 6.2" I found myself too tall for the standard screen on the Tiger, I fitted a spoiler so as to heighten it. It’s adjustable in height, seems a nice bit of kit. I’ll be able to test it in March…

Easier to lift the frame onto the engine

Engine and swingarm bolts slot in easily. Nice to just make sure everything is straight.

I rolled them all outside so my new, more burglar-proof, electric garage door could be installed.

Our house we moved into came with an electric roller shutter door - best thing about it - game changer (to use a term I hate) :grimacing:

Finally some decent weather to get a few hours riding in. Roads nice and quiet too.

Today I went out for a short ride (only about 26 miles) to get some medical supplies for a very sorry - for - himself Helmut. Really enjoyed being out on the bike though, first dry day in ages!!!

They really are truly horrendous!!

No riding for me today. Had my two sons and their families out for lunch at a local pub, then back to ours for opening presents, which was delayed from yesterday due to logistics :slightly_smiling_face:

No riding with this appalling weather but I did fit a new tinted screen to the T595 yesterday. I have always liked the contrast with the black and yellow and I also prefer the clocks, ignition, etc. not being visible through the screen.

Which do you prefer?

The tinted one definitely looks better IMO.

Got out for a few hours riding. Roads are a bit damp though…

There’s an abandoned Range Rover in that picture, and whilst I was viewing the scene and eating my packed lunch a local turned up on a bicycle and said the driver had to be rescued via the back window. Water’s a good metre deep and lower than yesterday when the idiot decided to try and drown themselves. Apparently this was during daytime, and you’d think that the water being at the top of the hedges would have been warning enough.

I was mostly sticking to major roads on my ride though and making the most of a few hours of sunshine.

Similar to all the pillocks round here who spent their time driving through road closures to then drown their cars :person_facepalming:.

Hmm, what shall I do with my Triumph today?

So, after giving my bike a good clean I dropped the oil out the engine and wheeled it into my conservatory/workshop ready to start a full engine service tomorrow.

Unfortunately, whilst I did think to put the oil sump drain plug back in I didn’t do anything about the gaping hole where the oil filter was. So whilst pushing bike up ramp to get it inside I ended up leaving a trail of spilt oil, doh! Did my best to clean up in the failing light but tomorrow will show what mess I’ve left. Right now it’s beer o’clock! :beers:

Bad luck mate….

Good to hear I am not the only fool on here

We’ve all done stupid things like that… I hope you enjoyed yer beer!

I’ve never done that.

Haven’t got a conservatory.
