Ok, this isn’t a concourse queen but it is a genuine, low mileage great motorbike. At 23 years old, with only 18,529 miles on the clock, it’s at the “gentle use” end of the spectrum! But it has been used and enjoyed, it’s commuted a bit, it’s enjoyed all the Lakeland passes… some of Scotland, Yorkshire, Northumbria and Derbyshire.
I find it a comfortable, easy ride… decent brakes, great engine! Enough poke for grins… enough grunt for easy low speed manners.
It’s had some professional services, but since I had it, I’ve done the oil and filter changes/brakes. It’s due a mot… which I’m getting done over the next couple of weeks (depending on availability) and will I sort any advisories before she leaves my hands… I probably will do a final oil and filter change unless you’re desperate to get your hands on it in the next couple of days (I’ll post when these things happen)…
Anyway, I’m searching for interest/opinion, what do you think of the price..? I feel it’s fair, but if loads of you call bullshit, I’ll reconsider…
Here are some reference media, the worst part is the engine front, suffered salt scarring when winter commuting, she didn’t miss a beat though.

Alterations :-

  1. heated grips
  2. knuckle guards
  3. If you move 1 specific wire, you get a smoother low end (TDM’s were known for being lumpy low end and a bit snatchy - this is fettled on mine)

The worst bit about it is some salt scarring on the engine from winter commuting… which can be a dealbreaker or not, depending on how realistic your expectations are for a working but 23 year old bike… see this video showing cold start and hot running! (No smoke)

Looks like a nice example with very low mileage, so seems a fair price to me. I had a lot of fun with mine before it got too heavy for my ageing frame to push around. Comfortable and totally reliable with good handling and brakes, and a really, really nice engine.

Nothing a bit of focused elbow grease wouldn’t sort. Good quality cheap bike right there. Best of luck with the sale :+1:
