Records are there to be broken. Iván Cervantes holds the current record but in 2011 it was Russell “Rusty” Vaughn who raised the stakes.
Vaughn, of Grass Valley, California, rode his Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Limited a distance of 2010 miles in 24 hours at the Continental Tires test track in Uvalde, Texas, averaging 84 mph and surpassing ithe old record by 769 miles. The previous record of 1,281 miles was held by an Omani, Omar Ali Mamari.
