Hi, Edwin here.
I’ve joined the forum after reading about it on Bluesky, and wanted to post the coolest picture of my Triumph EVER for the photo contest.
You can all abandon all hopes of winning, by the way.
Just saying.
I like to save other people’s time.
Don’t thank me.
Anyhooo…
I’ve recently relocated to France after spending 3 decades in western Canada. Calgary, Alberta, more precisely.
Yes, je parle français couramment.
I’ve been riding Triumphs for many years.
Past bikes:
‘94 Trident 750 (my 1st Triumph! I was smitten!)
‘02 Daytona 955i (bought new in 04)
‘05 Sprint ST1050 (bought from California in ‘07 - sold in 2022 when I moved back)
‘96 Trident 900 that I still currently own. Modified into a Cafe Racer. Brought it back from Canada.
I currently live in the Loiret region, so if you stop by, gimmie a howler, the house is large!
Peace.
Hi and welcome……

Hi Edwin.
It’s great here, enjoy the forum.
And remember, what you put in, you get back.
Bonjour, Bienvenue!
Le Loiret cannot be bad, kings built a lot of vacation castles nearby.
Enjoy that very particular forum, where it’s not unusual to meet foreign members!
Hi and welcome to the forum
here it be
You’re correct. Lots of châteaux around me. I actually live in a large mansion that was purpose built in late XVIIth century by Louis XV to manage the construction of the canal du Loing, connecting the canals of Briare and Orléans to the Seine. The building eventually became a youth hostel in early 80’s until 2020. We are now renovating it, and it’s a big chunk to chew! Gonna take a few years.
I seem to remember there’s an aquaduct there? Spent a night on a campsite there donkey’s years ago…
