Dolomites 2023

What a fabulous day for you both
I cut the grass

Stelvio tomorrow? :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:

A bit far away just yet I think… That’d be at least 180 miles there and back.

That looks incredible; weather, scenery, food . Well done to Jefta, it sounds very challenging indeed.

A bit over rated anyway IMO.
A rite of passage I suppose. :slightly_smiling_face:
Can remember doing it on 4 different bikes so far, but this time will be the first in opposite (down hill) direction.

Agreed. I’ve only done it upwards, once was enough. There are plenty nicer passes.

That is an amazing ride :+1:

A fairly leisurely 100 miles today. None of the challenging high mountain passes - Jefta was still (and understandably so) mentally tired of those we did yesterday. So we opted for some nice, lower level passes, with no really diffcult hairpins.

The last remaining covered bridge in Trento province.

Just en route.

Nice weather, albeit a tad warm in the valleys.
A good day!

The dog seems to be casting a jealous eye at that can of beer. What is his/her name?

What a brilliant photo…,

She’s called “Prutser”, which translates as “Bungler”… :see_no_evil: She’s 9 now, and still happy as Larry. Love her.

Who’s Larry? Asking for a friend *

We had to eat of course… Steak Tartare with burrata, and with egg yolk. Meat from a local butcher, and accompanied with a special local smoked and herb infused salt… :yum::yum:

What’s the temperature like there Wim? Been a bit too hot (low-mid30) and sticky last few days, still hot but at least a breeze now in Verdon.
