It’s so ill it’s on a drip. Brilliant.
It’s all better now!!
Chapeau !!!
The grin seals the deal
well done Daniel !
rounds of applause from all here Daniel
Thats the stuff.
Bike rides FAB! Am very chuffed!
Have learned SO much…
Carbs aren’t scary at all! More just nuts and bolts
New throttle cables on order.
Right…next up…Fork seals and transmission oil…
That’s great news. One thing I like about doing my own work, is that apart from saving money, you know for sure what work has been done on the bike and that’s it’s done well. (Or if you made compromises on the job are aware of that too.)
Yep, agreed totally! Especially on a 30yr old bike!
Also…it teaches you not to panic when you break down…you understand what bits do what…and can generally work out the issue.
Final drive oil replaced… That took about a minute and a half…
Want to fiddle but nothing seems worth starting right now…
Quick one…
I have (have always had on my ownership) fast blink rate on NON LED indicators…
What can/do I need to check to slow it down? Is it a “flasher relay” and, if it is…what do I need to look at, check, test etc?
Is that an electronic flasher relay or an old fashion one?
An electronic one will solve the tempo issue. Check to get the correct replacement one, some are wired differently.
You need more resistance. I think.
Thanks both…
if either of you feel bored feel free to break this whole process down in to single syllables.
How will i know if it is a modern or old relay?
What do I need tobe ordering if I get a new electronic one - are they rated somehow?
Check what - to get the correct replacement?
Thank you!!
Valve clearances tomorrow…please have your phones nearby
If it’s aortic valve, mitral valve, pulmonary valve or tricuspid valve, I’m your man… call me on 999
Only if I’m having trouble with my top dead centre!
God bless blow torch!! Unwound without issue after some heating!
Will still invest in a new one…
I am a new convert to the power of heat …but now “2 for 2”; it’s really saved a situation!
Only done the front cylinder, before needing gin…intake clearances tight…so adjustment made …
Will see what the rear cylinder brings tomorrow …
