RIP Leia. She passed away this afternoon after 13 years of a life of joy.
I was prepared, she survived 2 strokes. The third one was too much for her.
I am sorry to hear your news @Hubaxe, it’s heartbreaking, no matter how prepared you are.
So sorry to hear that @Hubaxe
It is so hard to say goodbye to them. The great times and the love you shared will never be forgotten though.
RIP Leia
A new cat arrived in October 2024.
My last cat died 2,5 years ago. Took me some time to take a new pet.
PS: I guess … I’m getting lazy … the photo above was taken on my cell phone, the older/lower one on my real digital camera.
He’s a handsome chap. Siamese?
My old cat (below) was blue point siamese cat.
The new one is Oriental Shorthair.

And … she, not he.
Oops, sorry ‘she’. slight_smile:
The colouring threw me off but we are familiar with the Oriental Shorthair in our house. This is Jinx.
Jinx looks as if they are a criminal mastermind!
He most definitely is!
She is a ‘‘Junior Winner’’ thanks to the breeder… two of hers half-sisters (=same dad) … ended up on the panel at the World Winner Cat Show (FiFe) about 1,5 months ago (neither of them won the title). The breeder hopes that I could take her in spring to the Scandinavian Winner Cat Show (which is actually here in Finland). As a JW she could participate.
Just based on the look of Jinx … I think he is ‘‘the master’’ in the house
We are merely his live-in staff.
After a 6 month battle with a malignant mouth tumour, my boy Reggie went to sleep today

So sorry. It’s awful to lose a much-loved pet.
Commisserations mate. That’s horrible.
Sorry to hear that @geoffb
It’s so hard saying goodbye but you know he was loved and you did right by him.
Poor fella - fellas, really, since it’ll hurt you, too, for quite some time. It’s never really any consolation but you know - and he knew - he was always loved right to the very end.
