I hope yous aint talking about Albanian goats
I’ve picked up the goods this morning, a rear rack and plate. Needs to (possibly ?) be passed on to the @TheRevenant at either Mansfield or Buxton ??
The rack is currently near Shaw, Oldham, I can travel a little way to pass it on.
I can get it from buxton tomorrow afternoon and down to Northants (Rothwell) if required?
Im working in Doncaster and its just a slight detour homewards.
This is great. If I was in the UK, I’d definitely participate.
That’s a long way off your route. A bit too long I think.
Alan, If you are going to be in Buxton, me and Steve are due a brekkie meet, we could do it in Buxton.
Looks like Wednesday for Buxton
When you know for certain, will you let me know ?
Did you get my text ?
Speak later. No text…
I remain stunned and amazed at the generosity of time, effort and spirit by others on this crazy ask.
Thank you all for your efforts so far.
I think it’s just about a wrap @DanielB meeting Andy on Weds, bring it down Faringdon Thursday or Friday
Yes, meeting @Wessa for Breakfast in Buxton. Would normally meet at Yondermans just a few miles away but meeting up with @TheRevenant to pass on the goods then looking like it’s the Hydro for Breakfast. Anybody round that way please feel free to join us.
Looking forward to catching up. Weather is looking favourably, so might go on the Thruxton
Met up with @Wessa and then we both went to meet up with @TheRevenant and passed on the goods and caught up for ten minutes or so then me and Wessa set off for the Hydro Cafe. Walked to where I thought it was but couldn’t see it so started up Google Maps and it turned out we were stood right outside it. But, and it’s a big but, it was shut, that’s why we couldn’t see it. It was supposed to be open on Wednesdays. Anyway, we wandered about and found a place that did a great breakfast https://www.hargreavesofbuxton.com/visit-our-cafe
I can highly recommend this place.
Hargreaves looks very nice. And they let you rough biker-types in, you say?
The lass in the shop said you’ve have been welcome to a brew and a brownie. And you could have parked there too, FOC…ah well, you can’t win a coconut every time
Strewth, that looks a bit posh. did the waiters wear white gloves?
Yes had a great day. It was good to catch up with Alan (@TheRevenant) and then breakfast with @AndyPandy). Andy had a big breakfast and I had a small one, followed by a piece of carrot cake lovely.
As Andy said the original cafe we were looking for was closed, but our second option and choice was brilliant.
We would both recommend this cafe. My ride over to Buxton and back was really good, a little on the cool side (7c) over the moors, but lovely and clear. The tiger is now in need of a good clean lol
I’ll put it on the map later.
