The French Crit’Air application form.
It’s shite.
How can I reduce a whole registration document to upload it onto their tiny memory capacity…? FFS …
I’ve just done this. Take an image with your smart phone and crop the image. It’s surprising how it reduces the memory size required.
I did that …!
Then had to compress it , then turn it from a jpeg to a jpg…
Ffs !!
I needed a 12 year old to all that for me. Computer expert I am not !!
Slept on it and went back to it this morning once the steam had stopped coming out of my ears …!
Smaller picture takes up less space. Amazing!
@Oldskool JPG and JPEG are the same thing. They’re compressed image files. Your phone camera may (I only know about the iPhone) be configurable to save as JPGs.

Try and sell anything on fb… And its scammer after scammer…
I’m shifting some guitar gear to buy a bass (stop sniggering ) and I’ve have about 10 scammers try to get my money… like this one…
So I have more developed a fairly standard reply… seems to work!
Wow, there’s a surprise! And I thought you were genuinely wanting a beautiful guitar… turns out you are just trying to scam me!
I bid adieu: concern yourself with other victims who may be hurt by your crime… the Lord will attest your sin! For God has pronounced that the penalty of sin is spiritual death and separation from God in a place of judgment called hell: “For the wages of sin is death”
(Romans 6:23)
Thanks for the information.
Your teenage years are sure to be fun when you finally get there, the Internet is a wonderful place to explore. Have fun out there…!
The strange thing is that the wonderful French document would not accept JPEG but would accept JPG content…!
That’s just poor design and validation on their part. I’ve had that problem before as well. It’s bloody annoying!
That’s the French government for you I guess… Just love to stitch up the rosbiefs…!
Mine wasn’t the French government, it was a British bank.
Hardly surprising the MP wants to get herself in the paper showing her constituents she’s trying to do something about it. We have our own round of the BSB most Sunday mornings (Bridgnorth Super Bellends) as they scream round the local A roads generally pissing a lot of people off.
Alicia Kearns needs to mind her own business. FAR more important issues for her and Fishy to fix. NOW.

If you read down it gives actual figures for crimes solved. It begins to become obvious why crime is so attractive. Sssshhhhhh.
It’s going to be fun being overtaken by them in all these new 20mph zones.
And stopping distances of a pedal cycle compared to a modern car / motorcycle is?
It was crazy in the Alps earlier this year, much worse than my previous visits.
OK…here’s a rant…
I am genuinely considering binning off this biking malarkey as it is just getting prohibitively expensive to “do the right thing”.
I am not a rich man…I have a good wife but she just won’t work hard enough to fund my biking hobby…
Again I find myself looking for gear - textile trousers (again); to wear dialy commute over my normal trousers. But this issue is not limited to trousers…
Why is it that “ticking every box” means an uplift in price?
Even if you get every functional element ticked - technical fabric, knee AND hip armour, water proof, removable lininghs etc etc…and all for say, less than £100 (which is about my limit)…you then have to compromise on the style that has been designed by a GCSE student?
Why does everything - including “nice looking” cost more?
It boils my pee!
Granted, it would help if I was a lithe, athletic man - rather than a slightly over weight middle-aged dad…but the gear clearly “exists” for us to look good…it just starts at £400 a piece!
Seriously…boots, gloves, jackets, trousers…it all exists out there, but it costs a fortune.
It feels you need more than £100 / month disposable income to be able to come to the A list party…
Rant over.
I feel really sad that you might have to give up bikes
Bikes are a big part of my life and I would always find a way, although I am financially comfortable so perhaps that sounds different to your situation.
It may not help but I own a couple of historic bikes that cost me nothing but annual insurance and fuel (Tax and MOT exempt). Gear wise, my Wife introduced me to Vinted and there is much cheaper branded second hand gear on there if you search for it. Just a thought
All the best and I hope you can stay biking
Thanks Geoffb. Those are nice words.
It ain’t “that” bad…just a bit miffed, in general, that things cost so much - that I like! Perhaps I just have expensive tastes
While I can still get my leg-over; I’ll keep going (the saddle, and riding I mean)…
Cheers, ride safe.
*Good shout re vinted!
FFS…
What a crock of crap! People need to worry about real problems not some actors playing around
