Things that yank your chain

Having quite substantial hearing damage I feel your pain! Women’s voices are harder to make out too as they tend to be higher frequency, which are the first frequencies to go in your hearing!

It can have its advantages. My old granny had rather a sharp tongue, especially when she was younger. My grandpa was in the artillery in WW1, and had damaged hearing as a result. My mum told me that, when his wife got too vocal, he would just turn his hearing aid off…

So the latest Pc move is that Tom Jones’s song Delilah will no longer be played at Welsh rugby fixtures as it depicts violence towards a woman. I f**king despair.

Why, why, why???

How do you stop a crowd singing whatever they want? Sounds like more clickbait journalism to me.

If the story is true, it is indeed silly. To be honest, though, I’m a lot more annoyed by Shell announcing profits of £32.2 billion. Why do we let them get away with it?

Absolutely true, not clickbait unless the BBC have gone rogue. And the P.A. plays Delilah at every welsh home game-bit of a tradition, all the welsh clubs have their own songs too, Sospan fach for my local team llanelli scarlets.

People who don’t check their spelling/typing…

Actually, people who leave exceedingly large gaps to the vehicle in front when in a queue, causing tail backs or blocking access to a filter or right turn lane. And of course when the lights change three vehicles get through instead of six :rage:

:joy:

The rubbish, predictable, boring, tedious, faux suspense, recap recap of what’s coming up and recap, cheap same same same formulaic style of TV program making…

From The Motorbike Show, to Taskmaster, to Wheeler Dealers to A Place in the Sun…

It’s, at best, 20mins of actual new content stretched out to an hour…

It just grates…every time I watch… So I don’t.

British Volt who recently went into administration were the only planned electric car battery company in the UK have now been “saved” by an Australian company share buy-out.
Does everything in the UK have to be for sale to the highest bidder? More despair

This demand economy only works for the wealthy, sometimes a command economy is the only way to get things done in a timely manner and for the benefit of all areas of society.
