Nice one mate!
Sounds like you made the right choice for weight and height.
Weather was awful here on Friday but Sunday looks promising
Nice one Steve!
Excellent you can easily get on and off.
Wessa
Great bike love the colour. I did the same nearly and got the Trident. Not been out on it yet as the weather is rubbish but soon i hope.
Joe
Nice one Joe, how long you had your Trident?
I managed to get out for 1.5hrs this morning. Running in is a necessary pain in the arse. Managed circa 60 miles scrubbing the tyres. Hoping to get longer in the saddle tomorrow. Stopped for a brew at Broxton, nobody about. Mind it was quite cold today.
Replied before your piccies were uploaded mate?
Happy new bike day!!
Yes a lovely treat to get some miles on the little beauty
Got another 100+ miles on the 660 today. The bike is growing on me. Basically yesterdays ride was a bit slow as the bikes running in programme had the max revs set at 4000 rpm. This restricted the bike to 45 mph which frankly was painfully slow.
So today before I set off I raised this 4400 rpm. This allowed just that little more to the engine and allowed a cruising speed of circa 50+, which made a massive difference to the ride.
So I have now covered 170 miles and the engine is starting to loosen a little bit, but a long way to go to complete the running in process.
I need to get the 1050 sport out of my system before committing to a full ride report, but early thoughts on this bike are positive. Watch this space.
Very nice Wessa, congratulations on the new ride. Tigers very popular range in NZ and they sure go.
I find many of the riders ride them sitting straight up for corners, like a trail bike. Interested in what you find different (apart from weight saving)
Saw one of these in person the other day great looking bike, looks so much better in the flesh also.
Very interested to hear your thoughts, enjoy.
I’m in to see the knee consultant today so hopefully get more of an idea on course of travel for treatment. I will definitely do a ride summary once I have got 600+ miles on the clock, which should provide time to get used to the bike and forget about the 1050.
Its fun when you open it up!
Said the actress to the bishop!
Said no one ever prior to opening a can of worms.
Wessa.
End of feb Mate now reduced my bike collection to two bikes. Getting ready for retirement.
Joe
Retiring from work, not from riding surely, Joe?
Vulpes.
Yes it’s work. God willing i will give up my bikes when they screw the lid down on my box. Just purchased Another 2008 Bonneville yesterday. Boy is it fruity or what. Got to find an exhaust that doesn’t rattle my teeth. Real nice talking to you.
