Yep, hopefully at the end of the month. I should have got it in early September, but it’s been held back along with all the others built in August by QC at the factory. Soooo, it’ll be in the Vac-sac fairly quickly unless we get some decent weather in early December.

Nope. I did price up a new 1250GS TE to match what I have now and it was 19.5k on the configurator. I couldn’t see the point of paying all that extra for what was the same as my low milage 2020 1250 I have now as there’s been no significant changes since. So after a couple of test rides on thev1250R and 1250RS I’ve opted for a new 1250RS SE which came out thousands less than the GS did. I did think about waiting for the new 1300GS but thought the 1250 would likely be more sorted by now and with the 1300 being fresh off the drawing board didn’t want to be a Beta tester for BMW (I’ve never had any reliability issues with any of the GS’s I’ve had, but each has been in production for a number of years before I got them, leaving others to find any hidden problems).

I watched a couple reviews/tests on the new 1300, and all were very happy with it it. I can see your concern about “baby teeth” though.

I knew it was on it’s way but decided not to wait. It’s supposed to be lighter, smaller and more powerful than the outgoing 1250, but to get an equivalent to what I have it’s even more expensive, pushing it the wrong side of 20k so no thanks!
I hear you - my Tiger is definitely the wrong side of 20K…

Anything with the forum logo on it will always be decent quality. No cheap tat here.

Patience is a virtue and, as (II assume) it covers January through to December of next year, I don’t need it right now so I’m not fretting over it’s no-show status … yet!
