Today I have mostly been

Stunned by how awful Triumphs clothing designs look, or is it just me…?

Wear those with your mates and the public will think you’re either doing community service or you’re out on day release from an institution

Never mind Triumph Thunderbird , more like Triumph Jailbird …!

My immediate thought…

(Great sound track btw)

I think the designers must have got the Triumph and Trump commissions mixed up. Easy to overlook a couple of letters.

Today was not the funniest day of our life. Our dog (a mix Beauceron Rothweiler) now 12 years old made her second stroke in a couple of month this morning.
Urgency to the vet, a full day there. and…
Better that Jesus, she’s back to life for the second time. now with a life pills treatment.
But right now, despite 36° outside, she is very well.

That week is a bit a roller coaster, we also learned last thursday that our doughter will mary her english boyfriend next April… and they wish all of this will be in our house
I can’t refuse anything to my daughter, so, in our farm it will be…

Hey guys, you’ll have a new english citizen, and we’ll have a new french citizen too

Today I rode the long way home from work. The Lake District gets very busy this time of year… lots of stop/starting and not very smooth riding on the hot n sweaty back roads (east side of Coniston a particular shite magnet) So it takes over an hour, nearly 2x s as long as it should… and as I’m approaching the final 10 miles, my riding jeans (due to the mix of heat, moisture and friction) are cramping up tighter and uncomfortabler around my junk. No amount of standing on the pegs and bouncing, or low speed rummaging, is helping the situation… I actually have to stop, unmount and do the job properly!
So this is my round about way of asking for warm weather riding jeans recommendations…

Betty Swollocks :grinning: I am sure Ann Summers will have something suitable
Surprised you even considered riding around there today :astonished:
I know it’s not on your way home but I prefer to go up the west coast this time of year

I was in Kendal and wanted to do a reckie, but Coniston water is difficult to enjoy between the hours of 10am & 8pm. It’s that kinda busy

Yep. Definitely this time of year.

Yesterday was a ride to Tintagel which turned a bit too hot and sticky.
So today did SFA …
Except dismantle the temperamental pendulum chiming wall clock, lubricate and reassemble. Surprisingly it appears to be working. Result. :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:t2:

Time well spent

Yes, and no.
I quite fancied an upgrade (and was expecting it to be necessary after I trashed it ).
But would be about £1k poorer to do that. :slightly_smiling_face:

Edit: But it was a day to stay cool indoors anyway. :+1:t2:

Two options I can think of. First is these and to avoid looking like a sex pest you can just put some light cargo trousers over the top :smirk:

and the second would be these as single skin AAA rated

So today I did an Olympic cross country… while the Olympics were on tonight I did Staffordshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire and finally Worcestershire.

Apart from Staffordshire for the 1st 15 miles, which was busy the rest was virtually cage free.

Anyone thinking of going to Shobden the road from Mortimers Cross is being resurfaced from it’s start at the crossroads and at the mo they’ve planed the old wearing course off so looks like they’re doing a proper job, not the cheap chippings crap. Don’t know how far it’s being done for as I came from Leintwardine and Turned left back towards Tenbury Wells.

Cheers, the road skin looks interesting

Today I rode to work (on the MV) along the Strines and onward to Sheffield, enjoying the warm, sunny, country roads.

Then, as I arrived at my desk, I swore, walked back out the building, got on my bike and road straight home.

I’d forgotten to put on my backpack with my laptop in it. :man_facepalming:

Muppet.

Sounds like a poor excuse to me.

Oh sorry boss, I’ve forgot my laptop, I’ll have to go back and get it.

Yeah right, bet you wouldn’t have forgot it if it was raining.
