Today I have mostly been

There’s no boss. She works over 100 miles away. If it was raining I would’ve stayed at home in the first place.

Went out for a walk today and as I arrived at our cottage the wedding at the church across the road started off to the reception.
Must have been a HD rider

Not my cup of tea, but they do make a lot of noise.

Took our grandson to Oasis at Milnthorpe where they hold a bike night on a Tuesday.
Quite a good little wildlife centre. Got to see the snow leopards having lunch (cute little bunny rabbits) :astonished:

Then got up close with the lemurs

My new Beeline II arrived today. I have two more days off work at present and plan to do about 160 - 200 miles tomorrow and see what it’s like in use. I know most of the roads in the routes I’m looking at, but there’s a few new ones in there so will use it to see what it’s like :slightly_smiling_face:. It’s not too much larger than the original, but has a much larger screen size. It’s also got a lovely bright colour TFT screen and better directional instruction as opposed to just the arrow and dot. It also displays speed limit and will tell you off by turning red if exceeded, but this is function you can opt to remove in the app. I am quite excited to use it; I absolutely loved the original once I got my head around the concept and definitely liked the fact that it is minimalistic, doesn’t clutter the bike and you don’t need to see phone notifications etc. I only use it on the Striple so just look at Google maps and remember the route in my head on the Blade as there is not a non - ugly way to fit it on that that I can see .

I don’t know if it’s weird, but I enjoy spending ages looking at and putting together routes - not as much as riding them, of course .

Are you going to the bike night tomorrow?

No plans to at present Steve, as we have the grandson again.
Will keep my eyes on the weather for next week.

I will be interested on your verdict @MrsVisor
I had an original but after my recent Scottish trip including a 60 mile wet detour because of the Beeline throwing a wobbly, it went into the bin!
I like the idea of the new version but am a bit wary

I had one of the originals and it worjed fine for about two years.
I made the mistake of not using it for about 6 months (used the normal satnav) and then it would not charge at all. Tried everything suggested on forums etc but to no avail.

It seems very different, so will let you know @Dawsy. The only thing that I disliked is its determination to get you to the very centre of any waypoint set and reluctance to re route to the next destination until you’re quite far away from that central point. As long as I remember this and set points by dropping them onto the map rather than typing the name unless I want to stop there rather than just go via I have found it great. I suppose it’s a bit like the very early satnavs when they were a brand new concept.

After it sent me wrong,it wouldn’t switch on again so I think it must have been going through the death throes.

Well, technically yesterday. Picked up Jefta from hospital after her second op, which went well. At 1 in the morning she was in excruciating pain, so off we went to the emergency room. The lovely people who put on the cast had not taken the (to be expected) swelling into account, so it was far too tight. Cast taken off, new cast on, possible disaster averted and pain now manageable. Back home at 5 in the morning…
