Recovering from the last two weeks…my two grandaughters have been to visit, a week apiece, so we’ve had a pretty hectic fortnight! Happily we’re having a bit of an lndian summer, what they call veroño* here. 32 degrees tomorrow so l think a bit of beach looks on the cards :sunglasses:

  • a mix of verano (summer) and otoño (autumn)

All the stitches are out so back in the garage - hooray. :slightly_smiling_face:

hmmmm, new or reuse old oil bag. Probably new horseshoe as I don’t like the side hanging battery. Nice 4 speed Revtech in there.

Making up picture frames for when it’s too cold in the garage and I can go all arty. :art:

I still have to bash them up a bit and apply fire to give them a bit of erm…character.

Boots, lots of boots

thankfully I was only collecting after a very nice man put them on for me.
He asked me for £500 danger money as the TT100 would only seat properly with the application of 120 PSI of pressure and no valve core! He said he was getting frost bite every time he let the air out. Cor blimey mister…

Today (and yesterday) I have mostly been getting stressed trying to negotiate a Spain trip at end of May with a couple of bike friends. We seem to want different things from trip, or not know.

Anyway, as ferry’s are starting to get booked up, we’ve just paid for a non-refundable ferry from UK to Santander so we are definitely doing something in Spain for two weeks in May! It may well be that for part of that time I go my own way, which is fine and understood.

Great idea! I had a great time with @Wessa a couple of years ago in the Jaca area. We did a ride to Pamplona, around Jaca, and then moved to La Seu d’Urgell before parting company. Lovely riding to be had!

When thinking of Spain I must admit my mind had got fixated on the Picos de Europa area and had only been looking to the west and south of there which didn’t light my fire. But the east direction also exists, and the Pyrenees!

The difference between me and my mates is that my only reason to holiday is for the roads and scenery, and being with my friends is also good. But the interacting with strangers and experiencing the culture, going to bars and restaurants etc. is something that I would normally strenuously avoid. Probably why it’s good to go with them, they can drag me out of my mental shell and I can lead them along single-track roads up isolated valleys to find some amazing scenery.
