Done well to last that long on an AGM stop/start.
When I replaced the one in my car, I had to go through a sequence with the ignition and pushing buttons to register the battery. Mr Internet was my friend
Supposed to do it on my Evoque but I never did and never had a problem. My theory is that the BMS just takes a few weeks to recognise the change and dial itself in. Another example of excessive technology to save the planet.
I’ve fitted this little gadget just so I can monitor battery condition 24/7, and I’ve observed the BMS allowing battery to drop below normal every so often and then recharge as a means of calibrating to its condition.
Toyed with fitting a BM2 to the bikes but resisted so far.
I have no idea what those things are (large cars of some sort or other I think) so went down the garage to get some motorsickle recharge.
But it’s still too cold to hold anything metal without getting frostbite.
So back in the warm continuing with painting it is until midweek according to the weather forecast
It’s SWMBO’s car so things like increased fuel economy are alien to it
A bit early to be out and about, I’d have thought it would still be hibernating?
I made the mistake of giving the 900 a good clean after riding it a few times over the last couple of weeks. Mains temperature water is NOT good for my hands…
8deg and dry(ish) roads, so another 70miles closer to the first service. Muddy track to my garage is still bum clenchingly slippery though.
It’s still freezing here, but the forecast is +15C by the end of the week. Hopefully get the S3 out for the first ride of the year…
Finished this one - 1908-35 Indian General Service Medal (Type 2) King George V.
Weather should be warming slightly this week so I’m hoping to be getting back into the garage.
There’s a stack of spares awaiting spanners in there.
Sticking this chart on a piece of board and mapping out the Scottish sailing trips I have done with my late FIL. He gifted me this chart years ago, but I never got round to putting it up. Better late than never. Good memories.
That should invoke some brilliant memories mate
Absolutely, Steve. We had some brilliant trips. And these are just the Scottish ones - We also went to Spain, Norway and Sweden. Good times.
Today I was mostly sitting in a queue to visit the Bristol Classic Bike Show. I wasn’t going to go as I’m not really interested in 2 stroke 350 Yams or Henry stupid hat Cole but I like to see a few Hurricaines, Speedway and 60/70s drag bikes and chat to their owners. So thought I’d pop along.
I sat in the queue from the Babycham factory until the concrete sheep roundabout about half an hour later, thought about trying to park in a full up muddy field, got fed up and went home. Pffft.
So, carried on with the Barry and Kenny painting instead.
That’s a huge tease! Get your bloody finger out and get the painting finished!
Mrs D and I celebrated our 34th Wedding Anniversary.
This was my present to her

Not really, she would have killed me!
Happy Anniversary to you both!!
.
She would. Mrs D prefers a Dyson.
Congrats!
Congratulations, it does take some doing to stay in the game
