Finally back at work! Crazy wedding week. Thursday heavy rain all the way, temperatures close to snow (the snow was only 200m higher than our place), but anyway we’ve put 20 peoples in our house, played music and didn’t mind the bad weather. Here is how my daughter went to the townhall, and on the way back she was with her new husband in the sidecar.
Saturday party was under a lovely sun, and 20 degres!
Very intense week, people coming from 6 countries, love and friendship.
Now it’s time to rest. Happy to get back at work in a certain way
Went to the Bicester Heritage “scramble”. Nothing to do with off road bikes but lots of nice motors…..James Bonds Aston would come in handy on a commute I’m sure…!
Had the right side rear can off the TDM to make change of brake pads that bit easier… but then contemplation of all the spotless beauties contained in the readerships garages strong-armed me to clean it up a little…
So an application of furniture polish and some gentle persuasion took care of the majority of the tar spots… but then me time ran out and I had to stop… it is kinda ready for a proper polishing off now, but I think I’ll do the same to the left hand can first…I’ve got loads of “not-driving” time left, so no rush, and I can’t help wonder what she’ll sound like without cans…
Still no progress then? My mate eventually had his BP monitor fitted for two days, took it back and the said he would hear within two weeks with results and if he can drive again. This was over four weeks ago now! Apparently Kendal need to contact FGH. Madness.
DVLA suggest 6 months but were not definitive, so I’ve asked them to consider letting me loose again (dvla quick to stop you, tardy at returning you) but I understand, you don’t want some person passing out behind the wheel of a large automobile
Totally agree. Sometimes though they are too cautious. Told my mate the same, changed his meds and he has been fine since the initial incident in January. His doc told him to not go daft but carry on as normal
Not wanting to play the violin too much, but the situation is made a reet arse ‘cos my lovely lady (who has taken over the role of main driver) has MS and struggles to drive (and therefore hates to) any distance… gets leg spasms etc… you don’t realise how much driving you do until you’re told you can’t
