Our washing machine chose the start of the year to give up the ghost. Realised the previous owner had fitted it first and then put the architrave around the utility room door. Had to remove it to get the bloody thing out and the new one in. Twat!

“Why do you have grooves in your walking sticks?….”

I use my dad’s old stick, which I recovered when he passed away. I don’t need all of the time, just when my knees aren’t working as they should.

Unwrapping 2 gold badges from the 2025 Landmark challenge. We evidently got all 50 correct, so well chuffed with that. Just started this years challenge, picture in another thread.

Today I bought tickets for a Europe trip in the first 3 weeks of June. Price had dropped back down £100 to the first price I got a week ago before they hiked it (£346). Hopefully it’s 3rd time lucky for a event free Alpine tour. :crossed_fingers: This time I’ve given myself an extra 5 days as well, to have more scope to sit out bad weather.

Making plans for the first solo trip this year. I’m thinking last week of May and first of June, riding down to the North of Spain. I’ve been wanting to visit Bardenas Reales for some time. Make my way back through the Cevennes, Ardeche, Vercors and some of the French Alps.

I looked at getting Santander ferry and coming up via the French Alps but decided I would probably end up trying to do too much, so decided to stick to my usual Hull-Rotterdam ferry. Going through Germany to the Austrian Alps (further east than last time), then along the Alps to France and back up. Or probably the other direction if that looks best weather wise.

Seems that our paths may cross in France @Vulpes .
