Too busy batting!
Sometimes but even that’s been hard work weather wise….

I’ve had something like that in Eidsdal one year… ![]()
I should start an irony thread…
The world’s oceans are now heating up super quickly because of a lack of pollution (postulated) the boffins suggest that since shipping cleaned up its exhaust fumes, the air is so clean that there aren’t enough particles floating about to stop the sun heating the ocean surface and we’re all going to drown and monkeys will rule the world (wait hasn’t that already happened
)
I’m thinking of taking up smoking again
It’s about time that all these so called experts stopped trying to manipulate the earths climate. They think they can work wonders. Just let nature take it’s course. It’s adapted in the past, it will continue to do so.
I don;t think they are quite that unsure.
I can’t read that article s as I’m not a subscriber… there’s no doubt the oceans are heating up, are they saying it’s definitely due to a lack of pollution?
It doesn’t address that point specifically, I just wanted to put a counter point to the ‘scientists are unsure of the implications’ in the sense that there’s a bigger picture and warmer oceans mean a more turbulent atmosphere. The problem with any science communication is always overcoming the ‘black and white’ answers people have come to expect. Overall the trend remains the same.
I don’t mind you correcting the bbc… ![]()

I’m only the messenger.
I wasn’t saying they’re wrong, just that it should be read in context.
Context. That’s the problem isn’t it? For some reason the media doesn’t like to do context.
For the mainsteam media outlets the problem is that they have to engage the general public so they can sell newpapers/adverts. That means they tend to simplify and push a point that will get attention, or in the case of the Daily Mail, react hysterically and send the terminally hard of thinking in to apoplectic paroxysms. ![]()
The missed point is… go out and rip up some road!!! Rev hard… use as old a bike as possible… no cat converters please!
Help the planet- do a donut!!!
Can someone design a tee-shirt around this please? ![]()

From my limited experience, the sea is NOT that temperature in Bognor…

I’ve been there. You are not wrong.
Why single out the Daily Mail ? They’re all the same. In my book the BBC is about the wurst. Professes to be impartial but that couldn’t be further from the truth. As for scientists, it’s only thirty years since they were all telling us we were heading towards an ice age and they had figures and evidence to prove it. These days, you only hear the scientists who back man made climate change. The ones that dispute it do not get media coverage.
