Have a great time. We went last year. Please give my regards to Martin and Jose.
Will do, I am hoping it’s as good as it looks?
We had a brilliant time. Not particularly fast, (which suited us both) but great for seeing the island. Some of the same roads were ridden many times during the week, but that just boosted the confidence for a more “fun” ride. They run a good system, first thing in the morning, you ride to the fuel station to fill up. There are morning coffee stops, lunch stops and afternoon tea or ice cream stops. great way to see the island.
I’m just about there as we speak in the neighbouring Fuerteventura and yes the roads are fantastic, smooth and windy hairpins. It’s actually a nice riding temperature too!
The sickly MV goes in to get its fuel lines sorted and an MOT end of March, so it should be fit for the spring….
And I’ve still not cleaned the Speed Triple properly since Assen last year. I am a bad motorcyclist…!
Solidarity, to wash my bike I ride in the rain…
Isn’t two wheels the ultimate in air conditioned travel? They do say that only motorcyclists understand why dogs stick their heads out of open car windows.
Our trip to mid Wales is all booked again for August this year.
Next year we are off to the Island for Race Week. Not taking the bikes as one of our party is currently having our chariot manufactured in Italy. I was told that return fare on the Steam Packet for rider, pillion and bike during such times is in the region of £500, unbelievable.
Don’t you mean The Steam Racket company? Me and a mate looked at going to the TT in 1994, back then it was just as cheap to catch the ferry to Santander which included a cabin so we went to the GP at Jerez instead.
Taking the big Suzuki to Gdańsk in Poland in June. Breaking the journey up stopping near Berlin (over 2000km round trip).
Great idea, Nikki. Poland is gorgeous!
Agree Wim. I did Warsaw and Krakow a couple of years ago.
Hi Nikki, good to see you back in the conversation
