What have you done to your non Triumph today

I got the Blade out for the first time since mid - November today and Helmut his Tuono. We went to the Baffle Haus for a quick trip this afternoon as I am on nights.

It was lovely to ride the Blade, I have been riding the Striple whilst the roads have been wet and mucky recently, just because it has traction control and ABS (and doesn’t have immaculately - painted fairings!!).

On the 18th January, it was two years since I took delivery of my beautiful blade.

It then had a makeover last year to be even more beautiful (I know…red bikes are not everyone’s cup of tea and this one is RED ).

Two years? Where has that disappeared??:astonished:

I have acquired a new non - Triumph today and rode it back from Bristol…my Sportsbikeshop voucher came in very handy as I have purchased some new mirrors to replace the monstrosities currently on there…I will fit them shortly when I have thawed a little more…

It’s a red - scale from left to right. Silver with red accents…red and silver…RED (with some black)…

But they’re not ranked in cylinder numbers……oh my OCD….
You just need a single to add to the collection now.

More how they’ll fit in the garage, but that did cross my mind!! They are in cc order though…765, 821, 998…

You are going to need a bigger garage! You’re also eligible to join the Ducati Dragons, now. They’re a good bunch.

That’s it though, it will have to be one in, one out from now on (and I could not ever imagine parting with my Street Triple or Fireblade…).

Today I am not at work, so I rode 133 miles on my new bike…I went to the Baffle Haus, Crossgates and then to see friends (rough route below). So far I LOVE it.

What I have learned so far:

  1. NO low speed manners at all in sport mode.
  2. Whatever you think a control does, it is likely to do the opposite (tilt the pass switch forwards for full beam anyone?).
  3. If you don’t cancel your indicators pressing the button just once, very briefly, and do not cancel and then re apply when changing directions such as on roundabouts you start to change modes and settings on the fly.
  4. If you actually WANT to change a setting rather than to do it accidentally, it requires the most counter - intuitive way possible to achieve it.
  5. It loves twisty roads and is going to be a lot of FUN.
